a micro SD -> USB adapter did not work!
a true USB stick (Sandisk Cruzer) in my case worked properly

as title ... i've been playing around since i got 6.6-current installed.
first build a gcc4 kernel and test if it boots properly. OK
modified share/mk/bsd.own.mk; modified links to cc, c++, cpp; kernel
build without errors; these steps are from a 2018 mail on how to

i have been interested in running kernel builds on
qemu ... but then hit a roadblock.
the OpenBSD macppc installXX.iso images would not boot
on the qemu included in ports (qemu-4.0.1).
a search revealed the sad state of affairs:

cpu_initclocks()
was invoked. and it is slow from here on. rootdisk gets mounted. i
get a login prompt.
'time sleep 1' takes ages. painfully slow. 'date' after rebooting the
test kernel is way way off. from the looks of things it never
advanced.
i'm assuming a setting d

GENERIC #604 is 6.6-release
GENERIC #2 is self-compiled kernel using clang (-Oz and ppc_mftb()
patch from kernigh@)
GENERIC #0 is
ugh ISO that contained a test
kernel (i was testing clang compiled kernels) ... and mounted the disk (wd0)
manually (something like "boot -a")... as i said, very rough.
if you used an install disk to boot from ... you get a RAMDISK ... which boots
off and mounts your work disk. this was NOT what i wanted to i had to modify
the ISO.
network has not been good to me either. one time it worked, then it just fails.

he general pattern of that code and properly implement
softraid booting on macppc?
i'm mostly interested in making FDE boot on macppc ... if it is technically
possible.

i see the mouse pointer for a moment and then xenodm just exits leaving me at
