nothing related to OpenBSD, but some problem with my system.
I get this:

28
$ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/offline
4-7
$ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/online
0-3,8-31
$
so 1 core = 4 threads are offline.
I'll dig further into it.

Hi, can you boot a GENERIC.MP kernel with this diff, then show your
dmesg? Your bsd kernel was failing to start cpu1.
