It is possible to do this via a milter. There’s no reason to do this within
postfix itself (and I suspect there are many reasons not to).

Good morning. I am trying to configure Postfix to behave in a certain way, and
after a couple of days of not being successful, here I am.
The use-case I am configuring for is:
* the host's name and domain are not internet-resolvable
("labbox.localdomain", literally true)

Does that mean that conditional address rewriting will never be
implemented, not even in future releases?
I have been searching for a solution to this problem for a while and I
have noticed that I am by far not the only one who would be very happy

Hello,
I am using aliases in /etc/postfix/virtual a lot, they allow me to
register with a different address on every website and to throw away
that address if it receives spam.
However, I would like to be able to "send" from those aliases too
_without_ creating additional virtual mailbox users.

The difference is that turning on debug_peer_list changes the timing
of Postfix SMTP client commands. If that has any observable effect
then the conte
The only difference between the 2 tests is the debug_peer_list parameter
(postfix, content filter, filter, message are the same).
If the filter is buggy, the result should be the same but this is not the case
here. So, I would like to understand why the behaviour is different once I
