Hi,
I currently use a Mailman and Exim4 setup on Debian with Exim running
the DKIM signing for outgoing mails. I have VERP set on in some
lists, and on the lists doing VERP I am getting a very slow delivery
time (around 10 minutes for 800 subscribers). If I don't use VERP the
delivery time incre

Thanks for all your help! I copied script to /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mailout.sh
And forgot to update to /usr/local/etc/postfix-out
It was invoking the /etc/postfix-out
My fault, I overlook at the script. I'm sorry!
Thanks for your help!

Good point, Viktor. "sendmail" didn't register in my head when I first
read that.
Motty,
It is NOT postfix calling sendmail as it is called before either postfix
instance start script is called.
Search your logs for other errors like that. I bet you'll find a few.
My theory is that somet

I can't think of any shell script that invokes that setting; below the
beginning of the logs:
Jun 29 08:22:23 host1 postfix/sendmail[1135]: fatal: open
/etc/postfix-out/main.cf: No such file or directory

It seems unlikely that the Postfix start-up script would explicity
try to send email via a secondary Postfix instance. Perhaps some
other init script or shell script it invok
I though so too! But this is what I have on my /usr/local/etc/rc.d/
Postfix2.sh
#!/bin/sh
/usr/local/sbin/postfix -c /usr/local/etc/postfix-out start
The other startup script created by postfix is not calling out postfix-out.
Thanks,

It would probably be in the startup script in /usr/local/etc/rc.d
If all else fails you could always create a symlink.
