I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Do you want to _hide_ the message
you're showing, or do you want the display to turn off?

Squeezebox renderers. I use the ChromeCast plug-in all the time.
My question is can I use any other media server (presumably DLNA/UPnP)
to stream music to a Squeezebox.

Ideally, I want the display to turn to the standby mode (clock) rather
than now playing, after I press the kidsplay macro button. I thought
the brightness setting for the show command would set the brightness for
the whole display, not the show message. It doesnt seem to do
anything.

Well I tried a simpler method. Somehow I never realised there was a
screensaver
it defaults to Now playing when playing so never actually
does anything. I changed it to digital clock (black), and now it does
exactly what I was looking for. There was a simple baked in solution
after all this t

On the desktop LMS interface, all details of the alarm settings are
shown on the All Alarms screen:

More info from my perspective.
1. On a squeezeplay player set Destructive Touch To Play to always ask
before playing.
2 Browse to "Browse on Spotify" for an Artist
3 Select Top Tracks and a list will appear
4 Press the knob on a Radio or click on the first track in the list and
