Nothing shown in the terminal? What with "spotty.exe -v"?
Not sure if I replied to this, but just crashes.
I'm pretty sure there's a problem with some "security" package. A
firewall blocking outgoing traffic, or the AV considering the helper's
activity dangerous or whatever.
As you can run
Plugins::Spotty::Connect::DaemonManager::initHelpers (126) This is a
standalone player with Spotify Connect disabled: 00:04:20:07:35:8c
I note that Spotify Connect is reporting as "disabled" could this be
part of the problem?

Just for what it's worth, Squeezer also can activate the media controls
on a Wear OS watch. Leaving it on will have some impact on the battery,
but I don't know if it would qualify as draining the battery.

Players disappear usually means that the binary helper is not running,
check the settings

To be honest, no idea! But if you mean in the APK, then I don't think
android allows this - as the APK itself has no media streams, as its not
