I don't know about Yamaha, but my NAD amp has a similar issue. In the
NAD case, the Remote In jack is designed for home automation type
systems, and the codes are different from the codes used for the
optical IR receiver on the amp's front panel (I think they're

Okay, a few days later and:
1. That 2nd USB sound card I bought sort of sounds like ... crap
2. I've experimented with Virtual Audio Cable and found that I can
solve the problem and not even require that second sound card OR
Virtual Audio Cable.
The key is in a comment in the Virtual Audio Cable
5.9.5 working well again for weather. Thanks!

I'm trying to connect my SB3 to a Yamaha RX-V657 via the Remote-In jack.
Can someone assist in getting the codes. I can successfully capture
codes from the remote but these do not work when connected to the
Remote-In jack.

start. Does anyone know if the scripts from

For the benefit of the user community, I can inform that the above
feature ("Advanced Menu Options (Web)" won't be visible if you, like
me, have forgotten to update the plug-in version. I did, and then it
showed up nicely, and could be selected.

The spotify plugin expects the player to support direct streams which
squeezeslave does not.
It's not a problem with squeezeslave, it's the fact that squeezeslave
