I'm having the same problem, on Gentoo Linux. I've had Slimscrobbler
running before, but it just won't recognize it now. What gives?

This is a great plugin. Thank you for creating it.
I guess Sirius has been adding new stations and moving others around so
the "Extended View" has some missing icons. The missing ones, for
stations 29, 97, 109, 114, 132, 140, 159, 160 and 161, are in the

Hi there,
I'm new to all this. I've searched, but cannot find a plugin that will
allow me to customise the display on the SB3 when turned off. Is there
such a thing?
Thanks in advance...

Hi,
I've just upgraded to V6.5.1 so I can install the above. I've unzipped
the zip files and copied the folders across to the plugins folder,
restarted SlimServer and can't see either of them listed under
plugins.
I've tried rebooting, reinstalling SlimServer (should I unsintall it
first?) and re

was the correct location for custom-convert.conf so I threw it both
into /slimserver and /slimserver/Plugins/Alien.

To clarify the issues about "rpm" handling - can you do the same log
but with a d_parse as well d_plugins, d_source and d_remotestream.
Are you doing any other "d_" option because the database messages
should not be appearing with the options I sug

Good point, bpa! That might be the problem. As far as I remember,
AlienBBC comes with the two .conf and the mplayer.sh and will work
out-of-the-box on a standard Linux system. Because of mplayer-stdout
one needs a special custom-convert.conf in SSODS. And in case of SS 6.3
a "types.conf" has to be
By the way if I close Softsqueeze and start it again then the music
starts to play right away =>I don't have to select music and play again
before it starts.

Where is this file on your system ?
If you are running 6.3.1 then it should be in the same directory as
convert.c
Applied the patch as attached to thread - working OK - my main interest
are the Radio 1 Podcasts which are now listed and accessible.
Many Thanks,

Hmm, I cannot really tell what the problem is.
What about trying with SS 6.5?

Hi,
thanks everybody for your help and patience with a newcomer...
Enclosing requested log. Actually slimserver crashes whenever I try to
browse past bbc2. So I am not so sure that this log will reveal so
much.

I'm not 100% sure if this was correct use of English. But it is meant
as follows:
- /volume1/SlimServer is the internal path on the DS, the path the

The Filetypes setting looks OK - only WAV needs to be checked.
Can you do a log of a BBC station being selected with debug options
d_plugins, d_source and d_remotestream enabled. These are the
settings which help diagnose AlienBBC problems - the log you posted
seemed to be mainly database relat

Thanks for your reply.
I'm sure the thumbnails are there as when I browse via the album

As I say it was working correctly before I decided to change to upload
