I tried 7.0 and it works perfecly here so there might be something
special with your setup that is causing this. The best idea is probably
if you could startup slimserver with TrackStat debugging enabled and
post the log as I mentioned in my previous post.

Still, showed up that I don't show any warnings if there's no login

Other than that seems to work fine.

Hello all!
I searched the forum trying to find information about an WinAmp plugin

As I have understood, this is more or less possible with the Squeeze

It's a bit more complicated than I thought - some songs won't even play
audibly with JLayer selected - which is weird as all songs were ripped in an
identical format by iTunes.

Unfortunately SlimServer doesn't play any DRM'd content.
I've heard rumors of deals in the works, but no confirmation. If
anybody allows Slim to licence thier DRM, I'd think it'd be most likely

I'm surprised with all the hype about Microsoft WMP 11 and URGE that
there isn't a plugin yet for this. Is there somebody currently working
on support for this? I liked URGE so much, I bought a full year in

Hi Michael,
thanks for your reply.
I checked your other thread but as I'm pretty new to all this and not
really a computer genius when it comes to programming, I didn't
understand much about pearl, running scripts and such to make this
work... :(
Some instructions for dummies would be great! :)

I'm going to guess that you've installed the module as yourself,

Done both of those.
I also had to change getDisplayName() to allow version 7. I tweaked it as
follows:
$::VERSION =~ /^[67]/ ?
It appears to be working
