Hi,
I just started using the iTunesUpdate plugin a couple hours ago and it
has been working great! I think I have hit a minor bug, however, with
a multi-disc album. In particular, the problem album is "Three Sides
Live" by "Genesis." I'm not a perl programmer (although I do program

Hmmm something is wrong. With that spec of machine you should be flying
through it. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling MMM.
MMM doesn't use very much in the way of resources on my machine.
Do you have current antivirus running on your machine?

I went ahead and purchased MusicMagic 2 days after the trial period
expired. However, the database got confused and would not accept any
new music entries to pass on to Slim Server.
I contacted MM support and they were not of much help. So I uninstall
and deleted everything and reinstalled.
okay, been playing around some more, and I've managed to solve it by
looking at the patterns and trimming the codes at the repeat point.
Hence the 'dimmer' code now becomes (from a subsequent recording):

Means that the user running slimserver doesn't have mplayer on its

Possible fix is to find the location of mplayer and put that in the
mplayer.sh script as a

Does this only happen with the Virgin stream? Could you try a BBC radio
station? (The reason for asking is that Virgin is an MP3 stream and BBC
is RealAudio.)

I am trying to get the learning feature of IRBlaster up and running. I
have upgraded Slim Server to v6.2.2, the firmware now sits at v33, and
I have IRBlaster v3.3 installed.
I can't find LIRC codes for my Denon 2910 DVD player (RC-985), so I
have tried to learn the codes instead. Problem is, non

If you've got time to do that, I'd really appreciate it.

I can build a new version for Windows but it'll take a day or so as I
have to test it to make sure it is good.
It's possible RTE updated their server - the problem was that RTE reset
the stream resulting in "RTSP read error" - don't know what Mplayer did
to upset the server to cause the reset - u
Hi,
I have been able to play stations on alienbbc for quite a while, and in
the last week i have been having a problem where the text scolls across
the screen, but no music plays..i thought that it might be memory
related as sometimes it seems to come back after i close a few safari
windows,

Thanks for the help, is very much appreciated. I've got absolutely no
idea how to compile it, so I guess I'll just have to wait until a new
version is made available. Good to know that there's nothing I could
do, though, and that it will be fixed.
I wonder if RTE have changed their stream paramet

Erland, could you please give this versi
The problem seems to have been fixed by Mplayer team. I recompiled
Mplayer on Linux with latest CVS and it played for 10 mins without
problem. I'll leave it running to be sure.
If you don't want to build your own you could try the precompiled
Mplayer binary for different CPUs -AMD K7, Pentium P

The problem also happens on Linux so it is not a porting issue. The
error "rtsp: read error" only occurs in one routine - I'll see if I can
identify the cause over the next few days - I suspect a counter
overrunning because the same rtsp routines are used for BBC etc and so
they are basically sou
Thanks. Good to know it's not just me. I consider myself reasonably
techie when it comes to windows stuff, but i know nothing at all about
linux, and find the mplayer project a bit above my level :)
For what it's worth, i get an error when i use the 'dumpstream' option
as well.

Yes I get rtsp error as well after about 4 mins - it doesn't happen with
RealPlayer so it is not a network problem.
Since the message "rtsp error " appears it looks like it is something
wrong in the code but not handled properly - I'll test it on Linux and
check the Mplayer developer list to see
bpa, would you be willing to see if you can make it play for more than 4
and a half minutes? With the AlienBBC version, I get an 'rtsp read
error' after that..

I've just downloaded the latest version on AlienBBC - which brought a
new version on mplayer with it. I've had more success with it - this
time, RTE played for 4 and a half minutes, before going into a
stuttering loop..

RDT is part of the communications protocol so it looks like your version
of Mplayer might have a bug so try a later version.
The Mplayer site doesn't build any .exe except for the release version
which is quite old. Try downloading the latest Mplayer from the
AlienBBC webpage.

Thanks for the help/reply, is much appreciated.

I've intstalled a codec pack - the one described as 'windows-all'. When
I say installed, I mean unzipped the file I downloaded, and placed the
