Hi I've just installed AlienBBC as per http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/ Plugin appears in SlimServer, the station appears on SoftSqueeze and my SB3 but no sound plays. SlimServer 6.2.1 running on Windows 2003 Server SoftSqueeze running on XP SP1 I ran the test commands listed at the above si

I'm not sure what you mean by sending the patch upstream. If you mean - "make the patch part of Mplayer" then I will not be doing it, because there is ongoing work re-organising/rewriting the code handling RealAudio in Mplayer which should also fix the garbled audio problem. -- bpa --

bpa, Just to let you know, I too have had lots of problems with this "garbled audio" problem (which sounds like choppy audio of two audio streams mixed together) using mplayer on Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy). The problem normally starts 10-30 minutes after starting mplayer (receiving BBC's radio 4 stream

The BBC podcasts are now working with Softsqueeze. Not sure if the Beeb changed something or whether it was my upgrade from Java 1.4.x to 1.5 that fixed it. PS: ref; the best bits - I was only using that stream as an example; please don't think any less of me :) Cheers, -- knigma ---
