Some of what you are seeing may be old files leftover from other attempts. To be sure you should first delete the old stuff - clean start. 1. slimserver-convert.conf 2. custom-types.conf 3. The Alien directory in Plugins. The alien-0.98.windows directory in Plugin could have happened with a typo

You'll only need to edit slimserver-conver.conf depending on the version of Mplayer installed. I think your initial problem is elsewhere. Did you unzip AlienBBC into the correct directory ? Check in the Plugins directory for Alien amongst all the other plugins. -- bpa
