Thanks for the explanation. That means that the plugin does what I want, once I can figure out why the scripts aren't being read. Anyone else using the plugin on a Mac with SlimServer installed for one user? If so, information about permissions and any other advice would be welcome. -- danco -

Assuming using wav removes the 3 hours 22 minutes problem, we probably want to change the slimserver-convert.conf commands for flac and mp3. At present they use the waveheader to get stuff like bitrate to lame and flac to avoid configuring them, but it should be possible to avoid the wave header

AlienBBC scans the BBC site on startup and hence uses the latest url. IIRC not all of the BBC sites changed the url to rmlivev8bb so this may be distracting you from the real problem. I suggest posting a log with -d_source as well as details such as Slimserver and Mplayer versions as the problem
