There are two places where plugins can be put.
The better one (because it persists through an upgrade of SlimServer)
is in a Plugins folder that you have to create for yourself inside the
SlimDevices folder in the Library folder. In my case, as I have
installed SlimServer for one user only, this
Hi,
Just got my new Squeezebox device and was really pleased to see a
plugin for BBC content. I installed version 0.99 of the AlienBBC plugin
and followed the instructions on the website. I checked that mplayer was
working properly from the commandline and the plugin came right up.

I have started getting the following errors with my Softsqueeze v2.11b
and my slimserver 6.2 playing FLAC files with a 192 bit rate limiting
setting:

web page, this is working fine.
However I think I'm closer to the problem: from the web interface I can
select my personal radio and it works ok. I have
Further to my last message, I rolled back to 0.9 and had the same
problem. Just a thought - is this something to do with the way
favourite stations are added to the list in the web interface? I have
a recollection, which could easily be wrong, that ../neighbours,

Thanks!! I've been waiting for the 6.2 version to be released!

This problem is consistent but so tedious as it takes 3hr 22 mins to
happen.
On Windows the stream restarts regardless whether Softsqueeze (2.0b1)
is on the same Windows PC or another (linux ) box. Output was in MP3.
On a Linux (Suse 9.3) box Slimserver 6.2.1, Alien 0.99 output to

I'm pleased to announce Version 0.5 of Lyrics.pm - a plugin that
displays the lyrics for the current song on the Squeezebox display.
Get it from http://slimlyrics.sourceforge.net
This version works with the SlimServer 6.2.0, and has some other minor
enhancements.

Instead of renaming your machine you might better change the server in

I totally agree with ceejay. This has added a new dimension to the
squeezebox and I am now listening to Last FM more than any of the
albums that I've ripped.
Many thanks,
David.

Well, I've been giving the 1.0.0 version of the plugin some fairly heavy
use for the last couple of days, and its working well - certainly above
the "usable" threshold !
It does lose the connection fairly regularly, though I'm sure this
isn't the plugin's fault. And I can now get it restarted re

The screen turning off is probably to do with the brightness setting.
The are three brightness settings (on/off/idle), you probably have the
idle one set to 0 so that when the screensaver kicks in, it goes blank.
Adjust via Player settings in the web UI, or use the Brightness key on
the remote.
