Well I am not really favouring to go for USB modem because then adding a
wireless router is a pretty clumsy task.

Nope there is no such pattern observed, its all very random
memtest86 and they were clean. Yup I havent done much about
power supply. I think I will do them as well.

I tried with Knoppix 3.8 and I have same symptoms appearing again and again.
