I need to tweak
my desktops sound card settings ( Intel 845 gv/gl chipset with realtek ac'97
onboard )
to get surround sound or just better sounding sound !
I use ALSA plugins and mixer p
Just cut off guys,
Iknow, you have sound knowledge of both AMD n intel platforms.
but there is no need to debate,
instead, please state some configs on which
a reliable desktop pc can be build
with less cost and easy to locate hardware.
Isn't this idea better ??

on the other hand,
ATI would cost more,
compatively.
Don't know about AMD pricing compared with Intel,
there is now big difference in this catagory.

other config options are standerd as found in most laptops
