Hello all,
Which is a good quality NIC for connection to Dataone.
My mobo has usb headers only...them too 1.1.
So either get a 2.0 usb pci card or NIC.
Linux might not understand usb card.
So the query...price no bar.
I am on p-3 866.256mb on i810e.

A quick dekho in a console is fine.
If editing required I would go OO,
esp one with FC4 OO 2.0 beta quite good.
Antiword is good. Will try catdoc later.

Hi,
Linux never stops surprising me.
I have always had to install openoffice to view word files.
This months issue of chip got me on the search for catdoc
command. It is not on FC4...too russian.
Similar search provided antiword.
Now I am able to view .doc files in console.
Viva la Linux!!

The latest package complains about stack size being 4kb instead of
8kb.
My query if I recompile kernel with kernel stack at 8kb, will all

Hello all,
I would like to share my experience with FC4.
It installs nicely...even with my 4mb graphics.
I donot find it any faster than fc3 except for
boot up which is faster.
The most pleasurable is OO2.0 beta. it is really
good and all the chaps developing it should be
congratulated.
