Thanks for the pointer. It seems they sell box packed OS, with support and
all. But that costs a bit too heavy on pocket. linuxcd.org gives only the
disks, sans the support and all, which is much cheaper.

I am using mandrake 10.0, my tvtime application is not recognizing
my techcom india tuner card. When I run the application it is showing
"no signal" and when I click on the screen it is saying "Cannot open
capture device /dev/video0". The device entry /dev/video0 is not
present in my system.

When I was in similar situation, I downloaded a free third party boot
loader for DOS from the internet.
I installed it through dos. When I could boot to linux, I reinstalled
GRUB with dual boot options and everything went fine.
I dont know whether it is the best method.

hi all,
Last day, I came at a situation where there was a bootable floppydisk
for Fedora Core1 booting on a celeron machine.
and suddenly, the floppy was not working. so i was unable to boot the
LINUX.
Also the Distro-CDs were not ready with me. So it was not possible to
recover the boot loader
