I haven't compared Open Search features to see which is more compelling at

Given that OpenSearch is licensed in the original Apache license, I imagine
that it's still going to supplant Elastic. That said for most use cases the
difference between Apache and AGPL isn't going to matter because you're just
running it as an application in your stack rather than building on
We are moving from SOLR to OpenSearch and its pretty fantastic. It is super
fast, and super flexible even in its default state/config
