Do keep in mind that the hand of Microsoft was forced in this case and the GPL'ing of the code was because of how they screwed up in the first place. Even though Sam Ramji [1] is spinning the story it is still a violation and their hand was forced, ever so reluctantly. [1] http://www.theregister.
