my observation based on leases file of dhcpd server. linux usually
gives a blank computer name to the dhcpd server. windows gives the
name of the computer. they might be using that information.

CONFIG_SCHED_SMT=n
CONFIG_X86_GENERIC=n
By the way you should say no to CONFIG_COMPAT_VDSO. Gentoo does not
use old versions of GLIBC. You take advantage of randomized VDSO if
you say no.
