Nope - installed lightdm to test. Both were installed at the same time for about 30 minutes, then purged lightdm. Installed lightdm with synaptic, synaptic launched dpkg-reconfigure and I set default DM to lightdm at that point. When I purged lightdm I ran dpkg-reconfigure manually to make sure
