Hi Sebastian,
As there is a transition to libav 9 ongoing in unstable, yes, you are
right: the upload should be done to unstable (or at least, migrate 1.1.9 to
unstable, as you said in the bug report).

When using ffDiaporama, I got a "unknown encoder 'h264'" that is fixed if I
install -extra package.

git has wxsvg 1.1.9, and it's only missing the changelog entry. As this
version fix FTBFS with libav 0.9, would it be possible to upload it to
unstable (or experimental), so that it can be synced to Ubuntu?

agrees on the fix (creation of a new package) and upload it, it will
be ok to upload dvdstyler, if the review is ok.
