Are you using "dvdnav" or "libdvdread" (check in File/Preferences/Advanced)?
"libdvdread" used to be problematic in the past and once it was causing
similar crash, see #688574. Unfortunately it looks like it hasn't been
properly fixed which makes me wonder if it hit us again...
