gosmore FTBFS in testing as gpsd 2.34.dfsg-6 migrated to testing some
days ago, I'm rising the severity therefore.
Attached patch will fix the bug.

A fixed version of gosmore was uploaded to DELAYED/7
(mainly because the last gpsd version is not built everywhere
yet). Final patch attached.

Hi Andrew,
I've uploaded gpsd 2.36~dev+r4603-1 to experimental a few minutes ago,
which should contain a fix to support the output of GSA sentences when
the Garmin USB driver is used. Please test it and let me know if it
works as expected.
Thanks,
Bernd

but I didn't see any useful informations on the first look. I've also
tried to run it in sun java 6, but still no output.
If there's anything I can help you with, please let me know.

the gps traces server is down today, could this be the reason?

Hi,
gosmore doesn't use libgps anymore, instead they connect to
gpsd manually and try to parse NMEA data. So the dependency on
libgps-dev should be dropped.
Also you should tell your upstream that *not* using libgps
and trying to parse
confirmed only by ftp-masters and mirror

libraries *and* letting libnetcdf6 just depend on
it breaks packages using the libraries - and I would guess it doesn't
even show up as transition target. Please revert that change or remove
libnetcdf6 after having a proper transition to the splitted packages.

anyway as we also have a SONAME bump with the new version.
You can use
http://debian.bzed.de/unstable/gpsd_2.34.dfsg-1.dsc
to build the package while gpsd is sitting in NEW.

Hi,
gpsd passed NEW some hours ago, so I'm rising the severity as gaia and
gosmore will FTBFS and won't be installable anymore in unstable.

Hi maintainer,
please remove 10_bad_gpsd_header.dpatch as gps.h is now fixed properly.
You probably want to build-depend on libgps-dev (>= 2.34.dfsg-5).
Cheers,
Bernd
