First about the spelling:
The release version is named "picoLisp". So i consider this the correct
spelling coming from Alex directly.
picolisp.org also uses various types of spellings.
2nd about the wiki people:

btw a Intel Core 2 Duo can do both 32bit and 64bit. So maybe your MAC
runs it on 64bit ??

can you use the "type" command on some of those .o files you get ?
also what is a typical "type" output on a working binary in your os.
maybe remove the -m32 switch in the makefile and see what happens.

I actually run pico as http multiple times on my root server.
I guess as you need to have a root access to the hosting server, then
the "hoster" will not bug you as you can do what you want , right ?
