currently aiming for! However, as you say this approach is hard-coded to
each source website. These websites have a nasty habit of changing their

I have PHP3 running under windows NT 4 with IIS 4. I currently have about
20 sites hosted on the box. I was only able to get PHP to run as CGI, as
the ISAPI version kept crashing. Also, it doesn't accept most
headers...like I can't do PHP authentication, which i would have liked. I

If I'm reading your many posts right, then what you are trying to do is pull the
share prices from the same site at (say) half hourly intervals, so that you can
use them yourself / analyse them or whatever.
In this case, I suspect that the format of the page you pull down will ALWAYS BE
IDE
Depends on why you want to lop it down to a single line? Is this to make your
code tidier, or to improve execution time (the latter I doubt, as it won't
take long to perform the code you describe!).
The neat solution would obviously be a function (maybe even in javascript!)
