I have not used --disable-static so my knowledge here may be running
out. I'm posting this to the list as someone else may be able to help
before I can come up with an answer.

apache 1.3.23. PHP 4.1.2 manually installed
Lines (LoadModule, AddType, AddModule) to httpd.conf added :)

I seek a recommendation for server hardware.
Server software:
LINUX
Apache
PHP
mySQL
Server purpose:
One site (PHP+mySQL ) hosting, max 1000 visitors per day.
What is recommendet hardware requiremnts (CPU, RAM,...)?
