I have configured Syabse and php4 using the --with-sybase-ct=SYBASE_PATH.
but either one should work. The "ct" refers to a newer connection type that
Sybase prefers. It should be better. The other is the older connection
method.
Other than this, the Sybase install need an interfaces file in

Got this work on one of my server --with-sybase-ct=/opt/sybase, a linux Suse
base server with the linux version of SYBASE ASE 11.xx.
But you'll probably need to modify the path if you experience any problem with
that. For my own i got problem with an install on a HPUX 11 (64 bits) with the
SYBASE
