I've got the same problem with:
OS: AIX 5.2
Compiler: cc (/usr/vacpp/bin/cc 6.0.0.0)
PHP: php-4.3.4
I've tryed some workaround founs in the forum as setting
build_libtool_libs=yes in libtool file where it was set to no, without
any success.
Today I've downloaded the lastest tarball available:
