I am about to bang my head real hard against the wall:
I have successfully installed php 4.0.6 / mysql 3.23.40 / apache 1.3.20 /
openssl 0.9.6b / mod_ssl 2.8.4 -1.3.20
OK all good, I did my ./configure like so:
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-xml --with-zlib --with-gd=
