I'm trying to install PHP 4.3.2 on a PC (w98 + PWS).
I always saw the same error message : 'http/1.1 500 Server Error".(with IE
5.5 and Mozilla 1.4)
Does someone have an idea ?

I have tried to install PHP to run on Apache on my XP box. This is for
development purposes so there is no worry about security. I have
confirmed the following during the installation:
1- Apache serves up HTML pages successfully (with the correct paths set
in the conf file).
2- I tried running
System: RedHat 8, new build of Apache 2.0.43, and the latest snap of
PHP4. Configured and built everything according to the instructions at
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.apache2.php, but when I try to run

After I install, any php script hangs.
I tried "php.exe -i" in php work directory and it works.
Previously I was working with 4.0.5, and I only replaced old files,
leaving configuration unchanged.

One thing I would like to mention about:
If use:
./configure --with-oci9=/opt/app/oracle/product/9.0.1
instead of
./configure --with-oci8=/opt/app/oracle/product/9.0.1
It still can not install php. I just check ./configure --help
. The message shows it only support --with-oci8!!!

i'm pretty new to linux. i have redhat 7.0.
i got apache to work.
i cannot seem to install php correctly. i have tried it from a variety
of sources and nothing is
