I don't know EXACTLY how to help you... but I think I had a similar
problem that was solved (in my case) by editing the httpd.conf file. If
you're already done this, disregard the following:
Uncommment or add the lines
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php # you may have to add the
suf
no.php
this works for me..
