it seems that no C++ compiler is installed (Sun just delivers a very
simple C compiler with Solaris - you have to purchase the full C/C++
compiler as an additional product).
However, instead of throwing money into Sun I'd strongly advise to use
gcc - available e.g. at www.sunfreeware.
