Let me say this about that, been there, done that.
With the help of various people on this list I managed to get mine working.
Attached are the steps I used.
The only differance is rthat I used php-4.0.3pl1.

Can you give us your configure line and version of SCO / mysql. Have you
tried compiling without mysql (--without-mysql) just to see if php will
build without it. I take it you have got mysql installed properly? I seem to
remember you need to build it with FSUpthreads (3.5c?). I've
