Um I unzipped the php tar.gz file in,

php to be its own server in th

I am trying to install apache_2.2.3-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi with
mysql-essential-5.0.27-win32.msi and php-5.2.0-win32-installer.msi all
from the command line and all in quiet (silent) mode on Windows XP. The
installation of Apache 2.2 and MySQL both go without a hitch, but when I
try to install PH
install the phpinfo() shows the mysqli extension to be 5.0.15 (which is what
I need).
To summarize, i can't get PHP5 to link to the mysql 5 client libraries if I
try to build it with curl suppport. Anyone experiences something like this
before or have any ideas as to what to do about it?

I notice you use short tags, did you update this in php.conf file?
short_open_tag = On
I'm not sure if default is on or off. I know this a simple solution, but
sometimes the obvious is overlooked :+)

On Red Hat ver 6.2 with Apache 1.3.3
I am able to run the command
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-xml
with out errors.
Then I can run make with out errors.
It is when I run make install
that I receive this error.
