I justed faced a similar problem earlier this week. I was able to
get PHP to compile with Sybase and MySQLi but not MySQL. Either it
could not find the header files, or the file you listed below, or
something else. I made symbolic links from lib directories to the
/usr/local/mysq/l
never ends!

I am trying to build PHP 5.2.5 on Centos 64 bit. I am seeing the
error below in the Configuration Extensions section when I run configure.

Looks like it is a problem with Sybase 15. 12_5 compiles fine. Is there
any way I can look deeper into this?
