php-5.2.5.tar.gz (source) direct from http://www.php.net/ System with installed PHP 4 under /usr. PHP 5.2.5 configured with --prefix=/opt/php52. After the "make install" all PEAR files(!) under /usr/share/php vanished. PEAR.php and every file under /usr/share/php/PEAR. The directories stayed. -
