Ammoyingly I can't find any error log on the system
either, if someone could give me some advice I would be most grateful.

I have installed PHP 4.3.9 on RedHat AS with Apache 2. Any script that
accesses gd related functions causes the httpd process to die with this
error: [notice] child pid 30391 exit signal Segmentation fault (11). Phpinfo
shows gd version as "bundled (2.0.28 compatible)". All other php pages are

out of curiosity, have you tried rebooting since your RPM install
(yes I know you shouldn't have to) and what is your complete
configure line for PHP?

The first error line should read /usr/local not /usr.local.

I have also read the Chapter 31 Build Problems question 11 and verified that
the /usr/local/apache/bin/apxs script is correct.
Can someone shed some light on this for me please?

I installed PHP, MySQL, and Apache from the Slackware 8.0 distribution. The
standard pkg install for PHP does not include imap function support. Can
anyone tell me how to create an imap.so to have php.ini load it as an
extension?
