Hello everyone,
I have a strange behaviour on my solaris 8 machine.
Every two or three hours PHP brings error messages.
1. Not able to run sendmail when using mail function
2. When using exec to run a OS program there comes unable to fork
3. Doesn't know the pfflib functions anymore
The rest of PHP
ck, to get php and oracle 9 working with the old
oracle functions?
I need them, because else I have to rewrite lots of old programs to use
oci functions.

Hi Everyone,
I always get erros, when I try to get PHP with oracle 9.2 running.
The LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set, ORACLE_HOME ist set, the rights on the files
are set correctly and I mae a link in the $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory
with the name of the old oracle librarys to the new libraries.

Hi Angelo,
for oracle it doesn't matter if the operating systems of the client and
the server are differen, so there is no problem for an oracle client on
linux to connect to an winnt oracle databa
--with-oci8 to your configure string.
If you want also the old oracle seven functions also
append --with-oracle.
3. Be sure to delete the config.cache and also to do a "make clean"
before configure and make.
4. restart apache, call the phpinfo and be lucky
