Not sure what your problem is, I couldn't determine as I read your email.
Your code looks fine, I recently upgrade mysql to 4.1.7 and php couldn't open
the database. I guess this is a bug, but not sure if it a php or mysql bug.
Anyway, check the mysql forum page at www.mysql.com und
becarefull if you are using notepad to creat you .php file. I ran into this problem
before and I use notepad in the window environment. What notepad did was append a
.txt to your file name even if you named .php. Under window explore, it don't show
the extension.
save it as asci and double
