I also compiled gd with freetype support but not sure if that was needed

I installed gd lib perfectly only I have a few question
I had to configure it with 2extra options --with-zlib-dir=/usr/local and
--with-png-dir=/usr/local
I assume that he asks for the shared library's of those 2
so when doing rpm -ql zlib and rpm -ql libpng3-1.2.4-3mdk I get
/usr/lib/libz.so.1

I had the same prob about couldn't find ...
I just recompiled php and it worked for me

--with-config-file-path=/wwwroot/php --with-mysql
gives me no errors
then I run make
