I started with Apache 1.3.27 which didn't have apxs
installed. After reading about the different ways to install php I have
decided that this way seems to be most recommended by apache and best suited for
me.
I proceeded to upgrade Apache to 1.3.33 and install
apxs at the same time. Ap
The meaning of "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmckcrypto" error message is that
the c complirer can not find the needed library. Configure found it but
compiler can't. I solved it by making a symlink from /usr/lib to the library
files under /usr/local/mck-3.3.1-i586-pc-linux-gnul
rences to this problem on the list and the web but
no replies with a solution. Also searched the bug database. Also tried PHP
version 4.1.2 same problem.

I you may want to look closer at your webserver configuration file and make
sure that indeed it is pointing to the right place for the nsapi for php.
The ldap_start_tls message leads me to believe that ssl is involved with
ldap and that maybe there is some issue there.
These are just guesses
there are other things to remove?

It can't find the file test.txt Is it in that dir that you said it is in?
Also, remember that Apache makes things case sensitive, which you may
not be used to in Windows. In fact unless you specifically tell it to
do differently, Windows Explorer shows all upper case names as all lower
case.
It works. I have used it. The installer did it just right,
automatically. It is a config or a query question. I am sorry I cannot
be of more help, but I no longer have any MS machines.
Make sure you are asking via http://localhost and not file://c|

If a directory exists, but does not show up with an ls, 2 things are
