Everything works fine on windows :) but I want to learn Unix. What do you
mean with compiling

directly into httpd. Not always my favorite thing to do, but nothing else

I am currently trying to compile PHP 4.2.0 as an .so for Apache. First, some
system info:
PHP 4.2.0
Apache 1.3.24 w/modperl 1.26 compiled in.
Solaris 8 Sparc
Here is the configure command I ran:
./configure --with-mysql=/software/mysql --enable-calendar --with-apxs=/soft
