That resulted in the same errors.
Does anyone have any instructions or websites documenting the steps

Thanks,

If you don't have access to the .conf file.. you can always add the
AddType to the .htaccess file.
Just a thought.

They were not meant as "smart comments" but merely as comments to
perhaps indicated that there ARE problems with Apache 2 and PHP.
Try Apache 1.3 with PHP 4.2.. I have them both working on my laptop
in a testing and presentation environment.
Just a thought eh?

I did find a file in "/php-4.2.1/sapi/cli/" but if I use it, I get a bunch
of errors.
I understand that the CLI version is still Experimental until 4.3.0, but I
really need php to work both from the command line, and from within
Apache. I was able to do it with version 4.0.6, so I'm getting pretty
frustrated that it seems like this newer version is less functional.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've gotten the two to work on my win32 platform with just a couple of lines
added to my httpd.conf file... so I shouldn't be that far off getting this

I've compiled (after much ado in solaris.. installing compilers, getting
paths right, etc) PHP.. and i have apache running.
I've

build the files which eventually fail during build as well. Where is the
windows documenatation? What components do I need to manipulate gifs and
jpgs and in what order do I need to install them, and what versions do I
need?
Thanks for any help.

you should be able to find the mysql.sock file somewhere on your machine
(usually in /usr/local/mysql/mysql.sock), make sure the permissions are
set as 755 for both the mysql directory and the mysql.sock file, that
fixed a similar problem on my server.
