[PHP-INSTALL] php only runs from onew place

Php works kind of. when I run a php file from ONLY THE ROOT (wwwroot) directory of the IIS Server they work fine. If I attempt to run from any other directory (including subdirs of the wwwroot dir) I get a small 'dos' type window instead of the php file results. What the heck am I doing wrong.
