I am somewhat of a novice to installing software from source on Linux, so I
am trying to work it out with PHP 5.0.2 with GD, zlib, bzip2 and mysql
support. Only I am having some issues.
When I try to configure PHP with ./configure --with-mysql --with-gd it
tells me it cant find GD. O

I have checked out the gdchart extension from cvs and am trying to compile
it for php 4.3.8.
What I did:
(a) copy the directory to ext/gdchart
(b) ./buildconf --force
(c) ./configure ... --enable-gdchart
(d) make
I had to change the ext/gdchart/config.m4 script to use the right path
