I'm having a problem trying to get started with apache/PHP4/MySql.
MySQL won't load with apache, I get this error:
PHP Warning: Unable to load dynamic library
'/usr/lib/php4/20010901/mysql.so' - /usr/lib/php4/20010901/mysql.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or d
That doesn't fix my issue. Here is my config.nice.

I had the same problem. It come out to be I had a version of BDB with FreeBSD
that was old. When I complied the program it found the old BDB that came with
the system rather than the new one I had downloaded. What I did was to compile
and install the newer BDB in a different directory (/usr/local/s
I'm trying to compile in BerkeleyDB support (--enable-db4) but it's
complaining about:
checking for db4 major version... configure: error: Header contains
different version
Does php 4.3.4 require db4 to be 4.1.x? As I'm trying to configure with
4.2.52.

You can also try setting the php.ini variables in the script itself, using
ini_set():

Also, I can't remember if PHP is a program that suffers from this problem,
but I have seen Windows-ported apps that require the paths to be represented
