Hi list,   I am using PHP version 4.1.2 with apache/1.3.23 on my mandrake box.   Recently i installed mysql4.0 trying to grab data from mysql through php, but i just can't get php to connect mysql db. When i suspect php4.1.2 is old enough, i tried to download the newest php4.3.3 version.

Hi, the answer to your problem is listed in the FAQ page http://www.protonicdesign.com/tutorial/faq.php#php2 Youn need to link with libstc++ Befor you compile PHP do this. export LDFLAGS=-lstdc++ You need libstdc++ and libstdc++-dev installed Then after simply type make make test make install
