I am trying to move a web application from a win98 machine to a linux
(redhat 7.3). This application works as designed on the win98 box. I cannot
get it to work properly on the linux box.
It appears that despite php, apache and mysql being installed on linux they
are not correctly integrated.

Sure, grab the latest Apache 1.3.x and the latest PHP.

On freeBSD 4.6
I am reffering to intallationg intruction at :

while intalling php i use the following:

Either it was not there or you have deleted it. After an "updatedb" do
"locate apachectl" to find it. If you know the full path, check that it
is there and the permissions.
